Government Removes ₹10 Lakh Cap on Courier Exports to Boost MSME E-commerce Growth

The Government of India has announced a significant reform in export policy by removing the ₹10 lakh value cap on courier exports, effective April 2026.

This move is aimed at boosting B2C (business-to-consumer) e-commerce exports, particularly benefiting MSMEs, small exporters, and artisans who rely on courier channels to reach international customers.

Previously, the value cap limited the scale at which businesses could export goods through courier services. With this restriction now removed, exporters can handle larger order volumes, improving efficiency and profitability.

The reform is expected to strengthen India’s position in the global e-commerce market while providing new growth avenues for small businesses engaged in handicrafts, textiles, and niche products.

Key Highlights:

  • ₹10 lakh cap on courier exports removed
  • Boost to MSME and artisan exports
  • Encourages B2C e-commerce growth
  • Expands global market access
